The Story
An autodidact creative, Curt W. Carter took up woodworking in his mid-teens, experimenting with it in various forms. From this young age, his appreciation and respect for how wood works and feels set the groundwork for a deep understanding and capability in the craft.

This aptitude landed him in a feature article in Canadian Woodworking Magazine in 2014 and gained him a niche following on Youtube for his tutorial series on his Roubo/Scandanavian inspired workbench with wooden screws and nuts.
Though Curt further developed his skillsets as a mechanic and timber framer, the artistry and detail of fine woodwork continued to call him back to his shop where evenings would find him turning on the lathe or carving blocks of wood.
Now Curt finds profound inspiration out in the forested lake regions surrounding his shop in the Kawartha Lakes. This inspiration can be seen in his handiwork and online on his YouTube channel, WOODLORE, where he can be found sharing his knowledge and passion with other enthusiasts.
